LOVE IN THE STREETS
We live in a time of increasing individualism. Social media, digital communication and the growing amount of our lives spent online have transformed the way we relate to one another. We are more connected than ever, yet often more isolated.
In that landscape, the search for love can become almost desperate. We look for it, idealise it, pursue it — and sometimes fail to recognise that it is already around us.
Love in the Streets is about that contradiction.
The project observes love as it appears spontaneously in public space: between couples, friends, families and strangers; in gestures of tenderness, intimacy, care, complicity and human connection.
The street becomes a place where these moments reveal themselves without being staged or announced. Small gestures that might otherwise disappear into the rhythm of the city become evidence of something profoundly human.
At a time when so much of our emotional life is mediated through screens, Love in the Streets turns its attention back to physical presence.
Love is not absent.
Perhaps we have simply become less able to see it.
It is there — ordinary, unexpected and omnipresent — in the streets.
